This depends on your insurance. Some plans require a doctor’s order, while others do not. If you’re unsure, contact your insurance company for clarification.
Arrive 15 minutes early for your initial evaluation. Please bring:
Your insurance card
A photo ID
A doctor’s order (if required by your insurance)
Completed intake forms (if not already submitted)
Intake forms can be emailed to you before your first visit. Paper copies are also available at the clinic if preferred.
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows access to the area being treated.
Evaluation appointments: approximately 60 minutes
Follow-up appointments: typically 45–60 minutes
You’ll typically see the physical therapist who performed your evaluation or a physical therapist assistant. Both professionals communicate regularly to ensure consistent care and treatment progression.
Each visit varies based on your condition, but may include:
Light warm-up (bike, treadmill, or arm bike)
Guided stretching and strengthening exercises
Hands-on techniques such as soft tissue mobilization
Other modalities as appropriate
Duration depends on your specific condition. Post-surgical recovery often takes longer than treatment for acute injuries. Age and medical history can also impact recovery time.
